I thought it was the perfect setting for the sports mashup

because there's inherent violence built into American football,

and the DNA is of military roots.

If you go back farther into the history of America, it's kind of a

handshake with the sport itself. And you keep going farther back to Shrop Tide. There's something

very primal about it. So you didn't need to lean into the body horror in a way. It was inherently

a body horror film. Yeah. Like all we're doing is showing what actually happens to athletes that play football.

Yeah.

And in the locker room, et cetera.

So that was inherently built in.

The approach to the psychological horror was really exciting.
