Summary

It's a day to celebrate love, and romance, and all that mushy stuff. And the 16th century has its share of great love stories (fun fact: the wedding vows that we use today - to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, etc - are from Cranmer's Book of Common Prayer, and were inspired by his own secret marriage). But what about the romances that went sour? They may have started off full of hope, but then it all backfired. In this episode we take a look at a couple of Bad Tudor Romances. Remember, if you like this show, the best thing you can do to help it grow is to leave a rating or review on whatever podcatcher you're using to listen to this. It's free, just takes a minute, and is a huge difference! Thank you! Tudorcon tickets are available at englandcast.com/Tudorcon2020. Hope to see you there in just about 8 months! Hosted on Acast.
