Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the podcast.

Today's episode is episode 139.

Wow. You know, life is a game of inches. It really is. I know that's mainly a

sports analogy in our country, but it really is so apt in so many of life's circumstances.

Sometimes the smallest of things affects the outcome of a decision, and the

smallest of decisions affects the direction that's taken. And then the trajectory of that change

ripples through a lifetime of living. Okay, that's a little dramatic, and today's episode is not about anything that is going to

change the outcome of my life. But you'll understand the analogy once I tell you the story.

So, let's get started. First thing's first, though. This is a back-to-JFK episode, and listeners will likely like that, but it's out of sequence a bit.

Perhaps this particular episode should have been done a hundred episodes ago.

The good news is that for those of you who are getting tired of listening to the history of Cuba,

you are probably saying,

thank you, thank you, thank you. And speaking of Cuba, we have literally turned the corner on the

Cuba episodes, sort of at the top of the mountain looking down into the valley. In fact, there is only

two major topics left in the Cuba series,

the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis. So that means a few more episodes on those topics,

and we'll be back into the thick of pure JFK assassination storytelling and research. But for today,

the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis will just have to wait. Because today, just five days before Christmas, we're going back to our

core for this episode, and I can thank the Megan Kelly Show for that. If you're like most people,

the title of this podcast episode caught your eye, perhaps more than a typical title from me would. And that is, of course, the basis of this
