Now tonight's case I brought you earlier in the year,

the Wanda Beach murders of two 15 year old young women, Mary Ann Smith and

Christine Shurick in January of 1965. Now I am reposting it for those that may not have listened to that episode as next

week's episode will be about one of the main suspects in the case

Christopher Wilder. Now he would become one of three main suspects in the case along with

Alan Bassett and Derek Ernest Percy. Now I did mention in the episode that none of these guys fitted the description of a blonde surfy dude,

but after researching Christopher Wilder, I think I'm a little bit wrong on that. So I'm not going to read this episode all out fresh. I'll just cut into the episode at the

Okay, it's the 11th of January 1965, six children go on a trip to the beach, only four would return. This is the case of the

Wanda Beach murders. So we go back to January 1965 Sydney Australia the Smith family they lived at

Brush Road West Ride always hard to say about a half hour drive northwest of Sydney.

The smits were Helmut and Elizabeth Smith, mother and father of seven kids,

16 year old Helmut Jr 15 year old Marianne 13 year old Hans 10 year old Peter

nine year old Trixie seven year oldyear-old Wolfgang, and 6-year-old Norbert.

They lived next door to the grandparents of 15-year-old Christine Charrick, who was living there

as her father had died and her mother had remarried.
