Hello and welcome to Anime Out of Context, the show where I attempt to explain, sometimes weird, sometimes wonderful, but always hilarious world of anime.

You know, I love how a lot of your openers are related to the pre-banters that we do before the show over on our Patreon.

But I like the context of that one just without that, because it says a lot.

It says a lot, especially for longtime listeners of this show, you know?

It's true, it's true.

It's very good, very good.

But Rem, it's a brand new year. By this point, we're already at least a week into it. How you feeling so far?

You know, my hope has not been completely broken yet for 2021. We'll see how that progresses. But right now, hey, one week in and it hasn't gone horribly

wrong. Right? Right. Horrably wrong to our limited perception depending on when we record this.

We'll let you use your imagination. We should be noted. We are recording this a bit early. So if like

some world catastrophe has happened and you guys are like, why are

they just overlooking it? That's why? Yeah. Oh, the meteor thing? Nah, that's not that big of an

issue. We don't need to worry about that. It'll be fine. So what if there are glowing

monstrosities coming out of it? I've seen enough anime. I know how this works out. We'll get some spunky teenagers and they will die tragically to save all of our lives. Oh, thank God. I'm no

longer a spunky teenager. I know, right? Now instead we're just kind of crotchety
