I was walking through the woods this morning on my morning walk and something fell out of a tree just about hit me in the head, landed next to me.

I looked down and it was a pawpaw fruit. But I hadn't seen

a pawpaw in quite a while. You don't see them that often in the wild. You see the trees

all the time growing in the undergrowth, but by the time they ripen up the animals have already

eaten them. They taste great. It really tastes great. It's kind of a banana, custard flavor,

maybe a little bit citrusy. You'll find them growing on the hillsides down in the bottomland,

wherever it's a little bit moist and wet in the undergrowth. It's a rare delicacy that you don't

get all the time. So get out in the woods and find yourself a pawpaw fruit.

I really enjoyed this. I laughed a lot and even after we got done talking, sat around for quite a while and heard a lot more stories.
