This week, we're broadcasting live from the Silver Shamrock Novelties Factory,

discussing the 1982 science fiction horror film, Halloween 3, Season of the Witch.

This film was directed by Tommy Lee Wallace from a screenplay credited to Wallace

with contributions from Nigel Keane and John Carpenter.

Following the success of the first two Halloween films, John Carpenter and Deborah Hill sought

to transcend the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode by turning the series into an annual

anthology centered on Halloween night. Halloween 3 draws more from science fiction than slasher's,

but still delivers thrills, memorable moments, and an earworm of a holiday jingle. While this film was meant to be

the first entry of loosely connected stories, the negative critical reception it received

would inspire producers to revive Michael Myers six years later. Despite that fact, the years have

been kind to Halloween three,

with the horror community at large reappraising its value to the series, and it is now widely

considered a cult classic. This film was recommended to us by friends of the show, Miguel

Myers ATX, and the Hollow Seance on YouTube. We'd like to thank both of them for their continued support of the show, as well as this
