It's a overcast kind of moist clammy day here in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I'm recording this in my hotel room.

Got a gig tonight with the Blackberry smoke over at the

Fillmore very excited about that. Hooked back up with with those fellas after a

fun week of shows with Elizabeth Cook and Kendall Marvel all up and down the West Coast and then

and then headed out to Wichita, Kansas to reconnect with the Blackberry Smoke tour and I gotta say we had a pretty

magic show in Wichita at the Catillion Ballroom. I don't know all the shows have been

great with Blackberry smoke but that one in

particular I don't know there was just something special in the air it was a

freezing ass cold Monday night and and that club was just super cool and the vibe with people I don't

know just seem festive Wichita will be back unfortunately the next day in Oklahoma City got cancelled because of a fricking ice storm.

So we started our day out thinking we'd have a casual drive down to Oklahoma City and a, you know, play a nice

rock show down there at the Diamond Ballroom, but it turned into like a fricking

ten hour odyssey through a biblical storm after biblical storm and ice and sleep and rain and
