This is our third venture into the world of V.C. Andrews. We've read Flowers in the Attic and we've read My Sweet Audrina.

It's so interesting because V.C. Andrews, she is such a beloved author and there's so many people who, like, feel so fondly toward these books and, like, grew up with them. And for most of the stuff we read, like, even if I don't personally like it, I feel like I can understand the appeal of it. You know, like, if you are reading all those Fox Newsbooks, it's because you are uninterested in questioning white privilege, and you want to be sued by that. And like, I don't like that, but I get what you're getting out of this. Or like, you know, some of the romance novels. I'm like, well, this is kind of over the top. But if, you know, I could see you where this would be an appealing fantasy. But I can't wrap my head around VC Andrews. And I feel like I'm doing this like anthropological study where I'm just like, is this what you like? Is this what's likable? I don't know. I can't, it out. Yeah, I, like, I don't know what it is

about. I had the same issue with, I can't remember my feelings about flowers in the attic, but

I do know that I had the same issue with my sweet Audrina, where I was just like, this is

excruciating and it is

hours of my life I'll never get back.

And I feel that way about a lot of books, but these, the books that I most frequently feel

that way about are not, they are usually like the Fox Newsbooks and such.

I feel like this should be one that I'm like, oh, like, I kind of get it,

even though I don't personally get it, but, like, I just, I, I, I, I, I don't, I don't get it.

And it was very difficult to get through this.

Sounds like I chose the right book for you guys.

Yes. No, you were like, this is what we're here for.

I mean, this I think is going to be a good episode because there's so much to talk about.

But it is, and I remember, so Flores and the Attic was the first V.C. Andrews book we did and the first one I ever read.
