And the Hello and this is Brian.

And we're joined today by an Ivan Novello Award winning English singer-songwriter who first

came to national prominence back in 2015 when he became the first signing to Ed Sheerin's Gingerbreadman records

and his self-titled third album went to number one in the UK album chart.

As this episode reaches you, he's about to release his brand new record

the hotly anticipated the years in between and March 29th,

we are very pleased to welcome the excellent Jamie Lawson to the show.

This interview was actually recorded a little while ago back in late April last year in fact we headed up the

M62 and turned up on Jamie's doorstep in Manchester wielding our digital recorder.

Luckily he was expecting that.

I saw and good God I wish I hadn't.

But yeah we had a very pleasant afternoon didn't we?

We did. Jamie's a lovely guy, makes a nice cup air and he even served up some biscuits and he was very well prepared for the

interview too and had some of his lyric notebooks ready for us to have a look at.

He did and he showed us his original draft of wasn't expecting that complete with those

devastating final lines added in red ink.

When we spoke he just returned from Nashville where he'd been doing some co-writing

and was having a week's rest and recuperation at home before heading off to support his good

pal Ed Sheerin on his UK Stadium tour.
