Stepping in and, I mean, being foster parents is a huge way to combat human trafficking.

Because like we said, so many kids who are trafficked have come out of the child welfare system.

So if you can step in and love on these kids and show them Jesus and be that safe person, it just combats it in so many ways.

It's really a relationship that comes against trafficking. It is having those safe people who can step in when you're at

your most vulnerable.

Now, today we are talking about the topic of human trafficking. Did you know that 60% of trafficking victims nationwide have a

history in the child welfare system? Our nation's vulnerable children are especially susceptible

to becoming victims, and this is why it is critical

for us to be informed and alerted to this issue. So joining me today is Megan Reedy, a licensed

clinical social worker, as well as the clinical director of Eden's Glory, which is a restoration

home for adult survivors of human trafficking.

I learned a lot in today's conversation from some of the red flags to look out for,

all the way to misconceptions I held about how clear trafficking would usually be to the victim.
