When we left off, things were tense among the crew of Signet on the island of Mindenow.

Through November and early December 1686, Captain Charles Swan was growing increasingly authoritarian and violent with the crew,

and that's kind of a bad look for a crew full of buccaneers.

Additionally, Captain Charles Swan, the Factor, Mr.

Harthop, and the Merchant, Mr. Smith, appeared to be very much in league with Rajal-Laout, the military leader there at Maguindanao.

They lived with Rajal-A-Lut.

They ate with him every night, and Swan was unwilling to confront him.
