Well, I was on vacation out of town last week. Mark Devere is on vacation

out of town this week, and we're both out of town for stuff next week, yet the events of

recent weeks, I think, are worth discussing, or at least doing a little post-game analysis.

Not so much to comment on the events,

but to consider what it means to pastor people through such events.

So I've asked my good friend, Garrett Kell,

pastor of Dale Ray Baptist Church, to join me.

Garrett, let me set the stage because who knows when people are going to listen to this particular talk.

Our nation, America, has gone through a kind of trauma, as you know, in recent weeks with a series of events ranging from the vigilante killing of Ahmaud Arbery to the police brutality up in Minneapolis, resulting in George Floyd's unjust death, followed by a series of increasingly

violent protests, which I think we're now kind of emerging from.

They're mostly peaceful from what I can tell at this point to bickering among politicians
