Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast, one man's musings on the works of Stephen King.

Each week I will review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication,

and today I will be reviewing Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's Gerald's game.

And it's been the talk of the town, so to speak.

It is a worthy entry in what people are calling the kingassants.

I don't know if that's the appropriate term to be using.

Again, that goes back to the mccanassons from a couple years back when Matthew McConaughey blew up.

Again, I would actually, if we were going to term this anything, I probably would call it something like the reign of the king.

It's more appropriate for Stephen King's last name.

Anyway, guys, I will definitely get to Gerald's game in a little bit.

But first, I just want to welcome everyone.

I know that there's been an uptick in Stephen King interest with the release

of it back earlier this month. I've definitely seen an increase in traffic on the site. So that's

So for those of you who are new, as I said at the beginning, this is one man's musings on the works of Stephen King. I'm flying solo. I know that that's kind of, you know, in the world of podcasting, usually we like to seek out, you know, podcasts that have some banter and co-hosts.

But when I envision the Stephen King cast, I just really wanted to get my thoughts and then have it be somewhat, you know, academic, mission

accomplished according to some feedback that I've gotten. But, you know, if typically solo podcasts

aren't your thing, just give this episode a shot. And if you don't like it, then I get it.

I totally understand. You do have a catalog of over 160-something episodes about all things Stephen King.

So that's the benefit for anyone that's coming in new for the first time with these new

episodes is that for everyone that was following along way back when, you had to wait every week,
