Episode 131. Now, many people who end up in the infrastructure of a cycling team begin as cyclists

themselves. That is to say, for example,

if they made it to the professional ranks in their career, they often segue to the other side

of professional cycling as mechanics or team directors or team managers or swaniors. It's rare,

however, that that timetable is reversed and they go from the job of a professional

swanier to a professional cyclist.

But that's exactly the scenario which our guest today, Hirika, or more simply, Xi, has experienced.

Now, one of the fastest women in gravel, this Dutch speedster, G, races under the SDWorks banner and has taken wins and podiums and UCI races.

And, well, quite frankly, most of the gravel events that she has raced, period.

She podiumed at the Traka 360 just one month ago and has bounced around between Europe and the United States a few times this spring.

And that schedule of hers has allowed this particular meetup in Emporia, Kansas, one week away from Unbound.
