Summary

This week, actor Milo Ventimiglia β€” known for 'This Is Us,' 'Gilmore Girls' and 'Heroes' β€” tells us why he chose to star in a new Christian movie, playing real-life worship artist Tim Timmons, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer over 20 years ago and is still defying the odds today.Β

In RELEVANT Buzz, the crew recaps the Super Bowl β€” including the incredible story of Seahawks coach Mike McDonald, who followed God's calling to leave the corporate world to take an unpaid internship in coaching. And now 12 years later, it's led to a Super Bowl championship. We also dig into a new study revealing that Gen Z is statistically dumber than their parents (and why that's significant). Plus, Jesse forces the crew to watch the Carman movie trailer, and at the end of the show, we have Ask the Cast! And of course Jesse and Derek have some strong thoughts on Ring cameras and drones.

And just down the street there, our managing editor, downtown Emily Brown. Hey, y'all. Welcome to February. This is like crazy sports era. So we're recording this right after the Super Bowl. People will be hearing this a couple days after the Super Bowl. As soon as the Super Bowl is over, nobody cares. The Olympics are going on right now. This weekend's the NBA All-Star weekend. It's all on NBC. They are crushing it right now. I assume you guys have been watching stuff. Have you watched any of the Olympics at all? I have, but I've made an observation about the Winter Olympics is they're extremely boring. Pretty much, it's variations at the same event. It's a lot of twirling and a lot of going down a hill.

1:28.2

these drone shots and like crazy like it's such a cool viewing experience these days so

1:33.4

I actually just bought a drone I bought a uh it's it's a 8K drone that follows you and it's it's. It's amazing, but it's equally terrifying at the same time. It reminds me of the ring commercial. Like, did y'all watch the ring commercial on the Super Bowl? It was just like, Big time backfire. We can find your dog. I was like, hey, whoa, wait. This is not it. That's how I feel about the drone. I was thinking myself, I was like, man, this is fire because it follows you around. Like, you know, a lot of people know I record my own content. So I'm like, oh, man, I could do some really cool shots. But I was like, this thing can really follow me around. I don't know. I have one.

2:17.7

I got one because we live on a lake. So I got one thinking jet skis, boats be cool. Like, well, like the Olympic footage where it's just like following you and stuff like that. We've used it one time. It was fun to play with. And then it was just like, I know you've already shot it. I know you've been using it because I saw your music video

2:35.5

that looked like you were in the desert or something

2:37.1

and had a bunch of drone shots. It was super cool. No, that's an old video. That's an old video. Is that old? I didn't know. I was like, when was he in the desert? And that was back when you had to like have someone that knows how to use the drone. Like now you just hold in your hand. It pops up and it just does what it does, you know. So I was watching the, it was luge. That's the single person, right? Yeah. Not the bobsled. Where and out of the, out of the gate, well, they had a shot. And I'm like, how is there someone following him in a luge?
