Hey, it's Jamie Cabe. Welcome back to the Forgotten Podcast. I am so glad you're here. I am so thankful for God's

word. Lately, I have been writing verses on note cards and keeping them in my Bible. And just this

morning, I was going through verse after verse after verse to remind myself of the faithfulness of God.

Reminding ourselves of the gospel every single day is so very important.

It's going to keep us focused on what matters most.

My guest today also believes in the power of scripture.

She has her own what she calls anchor scriptures.

Javian Shipley is a teacher who felt

called to foster from the age of 15, but her journey, like all of ours, right, has not been

easy, including not only the challenges of being a foster parent, but also a painful journey

with infertility. In this episode, we'll talk about what she has learned through

grief and pain, and how she and her husband found unity in their decision to foster.

She also talks about why we need to be intentional, about our perspective towards biological

parents, the value of scripture, just like we talked about earlier, and how God
