Hey everybody and welcome back to the Pink Bike podcast. I'm Mike Levy and today we're going to talk

bike parks. I think everybody on today's episode has been lucky enough to visit bike parks all over the world,

be it for racing or maybe a bike launch of some kind, or even just a holiday.

So today we're going to chat about riding at some of our favorite lift access parks,

what we love about them, and also some things that we don't like so much about bike parks,

and especially how they've

changed over the years.

Kaz, last week was Whistler's opening day.

Last Thursday and a bunch of us were up there, including me, I just want to point out,

I was riding the lift.

And I was trying to remember my first time at a bike park and I'm pretty sure it was Whistler in

1999, 23 years ago.

I remember being blown away by the fact that we could just get on a lift and ride up without

any effort and come back down.

It was crazy, especially for a guy that doesn't ski or snowboard.

When was your first time at a bike park? And which park was it? I think mine was Whistler, too. Either Whistler or Keystone,

Colorado. I'm not sure which one it was, but definitely early 2000s, I think 2003 was my first

trip to Whistler. Probably had my Rocky Mountain RM7. Yeah. Oh, free ride. Oh yeah, that was free ride.

Free ride as fuck.
