Summary

Ben Hoffman is an amazing athlete. This born Coloradan, now Arizonan, is an 8 time Ironman champion, 7 time Ironman 70.3 champ, has finished as high as second at the hallowed Kona Ironman World Championships, as well as 4th place twice. He's a monster on the bike, duking it out on what's dubbed the fastest group ride in the country, there in Tucson, Arizona, and has toed the line at gravel races and Cape Epic in South Africa. He's training for the Paris 2024 Paralympics with hopes of bringing home a medal. Better yet, he's a father and wonderful of father of two young kids. As I start my journey into 40 and beyond, I saw a lot of parallels with Ben and wanted to sit down for a fun chat.  Ben thinks that AG1 is great and so do I. And more to the point, Ben is a contemporary

of mine. And as I endeavor into this, let's call it, giving my all 2024 season, he's closer to

0:45.1

the end of his career than the beginning, just like it is a safe guess that I am too here at 41 years

0:50.0

old. And I thought we shared a few interesting parallels, both as athletes and as people.

I'm really thankful personally for the time that I got to spend there in Tucson last month,

1:00.2

soaking in the great weather, lots of great miles, and I'm thankful for the time I spent with

1:04.1

Ben both in training, and then him having me over to his house, meet him and his family for

1:09.6

dinner and a great podcast.

1:11.9

He has some amazing insights into the life of an athlete and that of a great person, so I really

1:16.9

think you're going to enjoy this show. Good times. Speaking of good times, I really enjoy going

1:24.5

out on a bike ride, maybe listening to a podcast, soaking in the good time on the

1:28.7

bike and a good workout. There's a good chance you do the same thing. If you're anything like me,

1:34.0

you listen to a lot of similar podcasts, the outdoor lifestyle, the active lifestyle, and you hear

1:39.5

a fair number of advertisements for AG1, just like you hear here on my podcast. If I were to guess,

1:45.8

all of these other podcast hosts are truly using AG1, just like I do. And that's because we tried
