Hi, everyone. How are you today? I hope you're doing great. Do you just love having a dog? This weekend,

my daughter Kate, mentioned how Baxter, our family Labradoodle, seems almost human-like. He's fun, he's goofy,

and he tries to have conversations with us. He can't speak English, of course, but you can

definitely see in his mind that he's trying to tell you something. I absolutely love that my

kids adore our dog. It wasn't always that way. Some of my kids have always loved the dogs.

Some have not, but they've all grown to absolutely adore him.

I love that they can come home from school and play with him, pet him, or just talk to him

about anything and everything with no judgment.

Dogs are so good at that.

They are amazing creatures.

I think every home needs one.

We took Baxter on quite the hike this weekend as well. He had a blast up until he got a small

cut in his paw pad. If any of your dogs have ever had a cut on their paw pad, it's kind of

sad. So just a few tips for all of you who like to adventure outdoors with your dog before we

get started on today's topic. Make sure you

bring a small first aid kit with a cleansing wipe, a bandage, and a carrier. Have you ever thought of a

carrier? Just in case you need to carry your dog down the trail, Baxter is 50 pounds. So holding him in my

arms is not very comfortable or practical as I'm hiking down a mountain.
