Well, first things first, I have a bit of a mea culpa, and it has to do with the pronunciation

of the word Appalachan. I have been referring to the meeting, the meeting that is the topic of

today's episode as the Appalachian meeting, and that is the wrong pronunciation. It's

Appalachan. Appalachan is a town in New York wrong pronunciation it's appalaken appalakian appalakian is a town in new york

and it's been butchered by me over the last several episodes as you know i've had a tendency

at times to mispronounce things or to apply my sort of own vernacular to the pronunciation of certain words.

You all have pointed that out to me on occasion, I know.

So I'm sorry about that.

Obviously, over the last several episodes, you've heard me say the Appalachian meeting.

And from here on out, it will be properly pronounced as the Appalachan meeting.

All right, now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the episode at hand.

As you know, we have been presenting all of the information around the Great Awakening,

and that was the process under which the American public was finally in the know that

there was a national crime syndicate that was run by the mafia in the United States.

And it was also the moment at which the government had to acknowledge that such a crime
