Hallelujah. Would you join me in a word of prayer? Lord. Oh man. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for worship.

Oh man, what worship does to us, Lord. And so thank you so much for that, Lord. We thank you for this time that

we can come together and worship together, Lord, here in this your place. Lord, that you have blessed us so mightily with, Lord.

We thank you for the word this morning, Lord.

I just pray that it would be an encouragement to all of us, Lord.

So would you speak to us this morning, Lord, and thank you again for all that you do.

You do great things, Lord.

In Jesus' name we pray amen amen and amen and good morning

so you can remain standing if you want uh because if you sit down I'm going to have you stand up so

and uh for the reading of God's word which the way, that's not just something we do because

that's just what we do.

It actually comes from the Old Testament when Ezra read from the scroll found in the temple.

And so they stood for the reading of God's word.

I just wanted to explain that to you

as to why we do that. So you feel better now? Okay good. I want to welcome those of you. You don't

have to stand online unless you want to, of course, but we want to welcome you. We're so glad that

you're joining with us. On Sunday mornings, we're now in 1 John in our verse by verse study in today's text is chapter

1 beginning in verse 4 and we'll go through to verse 7.

The Apostle John is continuing now and writes by the Holy Spirit verse 4, We write this to make our joy complete.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you.

God is light.

In him, there is no darkness at all. If we claim verse 6 to have fellowship with him, yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light. We have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus,
