Would you join me in a word of prayer? Lord, would you do just that, Lord? Would you teach us how to worship

you, Lord? You know, let this not be a formality, Lord. Would you teach us the importance of what it is,

what it means to stand here, Lord? Or wherever you're at, Lord, but to worship you in spirit and in truth,

Lord. Would you speak to us this morning thank you so much

for this time and this place that you have provided and protected lord for us that we may be here

to hear your word so lord prepare our hearts lord may we receive what it is that you have

something good this morning.

We ask this in Jesus' mighty name. We say, amen. Amen. Amen. Good morning and welcome.

So glad you're here today. You can be seated. We want to welcome those of you that are joining us

online as well. We're so glad that you are. So two weeks ago we completed second peter and today we

are going to begin our verse by verse study through first john. Last week of course was resurrection

Sunday perfect timing actually the end of a book and the start of another one so our text is going to be first john

chapter one the first three verses i'll invite you at this time to turn there in your bibles or

go there on your devices i guess it's supposed to say that nowadays and once you do if you're able

i'll ask you to stand you You can follow along as I read.

If not, where you're seated, it's just fine. So, the Apostle John, by the Holy Spirit,

interesting beginning to a letter. Verse one writes, that which was from the beginning, which we have heard,

which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at, and our hands have touched.

This we proclaim concerning the word of life. The life appeared. We have seen it and testified to it.

And we proclaimed to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you,

verse 3, what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
