Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast, One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication,

and with this particular episode, it is the third episode I am devoting to the actual texts within the collection four past midnight.

Which takes us to the third novella in this collection,

The Library Policeman.

Now, this is a story that I don't have a memory of.

I've only read it once before,

and I remembered that there was an insect creature.

Now, in the introduction, King revealed that the library policeman sprung up from his son Owen,

who was afraid to go to the library for fear of the library police.

King drew upon his own relationship with the library police to fully realize the novella, which

was ran around the time of Christine because as he started to write this, Christine,

Kastrine, as he started to write this, Christine wound up coming out. Now before I get any further,
