podcast and I'm so grateful for the work that you do thank you for my background I'm in my mid-40s and a mom to two small children, five and two. Oh man, that's crazy. I have a two-year-old and a five-month-old and that's crazy. Almost a year ago I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder

after I was hospitalized for trying to commit suicide. At that time I've been working

with a psychiatrist for my

depression and anxiety.

I also have dermatylomania and will tear my skin off when I feel anxious or upset. For the listeners, dermatillomania is similar to trichotillomania. Trichotillomania would be pulling out hair.

Dermotillomania typically is like picking at your skin, pulling off small pieces of skin when you're nervous or anxious.
