And today we're talking with Brady Williams, who you might know as a star of My Five Wives.

Now, Brady has become a really good friend of mine.

He is fantastic.

And he's doing something really interesting, and I hope that we can get into it today.

He is a scholar at UVU and one of,

part of his research focus is talking about the idea that polygamy could be progressive,

even feminist. Now it's interesting to have a man doing that advocating. So we're going to get into that and I'm going to ask Brady some really hard questions. But first of all, Brady, can you say hello?

So tell us where you're calling from.

So I'm just calling from my basis slash very well-lived-in office down in Rocky Ridge.

Now, for those who don't know Rocky Ridge is kind of code word for AUB, the Apostolic United

Brethren, and that is the group that you come from, correct?

Yeah, I came from the Apostolic United Brethren. I spent, well, I converted from the LDS Church

when I was 16 into the AUB and then back out of it when I was about, what, 35 maybe?

I want you to talk about your early childhood, your experience with the LDS Church, and sort of what brings you to fundamentalism?

Sure. So I was born and raised mainstream Mormon. I grew up in Southern California and then up in

Seattle with my dad and federal law enforcement. So I just grew up living the typical Mormon life.
