Lord, we just come to you and surrender everything, Lord.

We are going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter,

verse by verse. Imagine that going through the Bible. And we are in the book of lamentations.

And tonight it is chapter four. There's only one more chapter left after this.

Lord, these midweek Bible studies for us represent a safe place, a time where we can just be with you, be together, fellowship and worship.

Open up our Bibles, open up our hearts, and open up our eyes and ears to receive from you because, Lord, we are a needy people.

We are hungry.

We are thirsty.

We are desperate even for you.

And we know that only you can satiate that hunger and that thirst

and satisfy that desperation that we have in our souls.
