horror film, The Descent.

This film was written and directed by Neil Marshall.

Intent on making a horror film with an all-female cast that built up to its scares

instead of starting with them, Marshall ended up with a wholly

unique experience. Hailed as a modern horror classic, the dissent blends themes of grief,

friendship, and betrayal, all while maintaining its scares as a creature feature. This film was
