Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Detroit Lions Breakdown podcast.

0:05.5

I'm Joe Kanya with me, as always, is Eric Schlett from USA Today, Lions Wire, and this is the

0:10.5

official Lions podcast of USA Today, Lions Wire.

0:14.2

Eric, I'm guessing a lot of our listeners are tuning in to this episode because it was a rather disastrous game yesterday

0:23.9

or on Thursday night, lions succumb to the Patriots 31 to 3.

0:29.5

Not a lot of positives to talk about.

0:31.6

That's why they come here to hear you.

0:33.5

Because you're going to tell us, you're going to help me.

0:36.6

You're going to talk me, not off the ledge. I'm nowhere near the ledge yet, but a lot of people are. Sure. I'm sure. And you're going to tell us why this is not so bad. Deal. All right. So first things first, we've got these tiny little roster moves that are really affecting the bottom of the roster lines signed cornerback tarveris

1:40.3

You know, you don't get a chance to give guys tryouts other than when they are preparing for the draft where you get to work them out like with your team. You just have to, you know, make assumptions based on what you've watched on film or,

1:45.2

you know, their athletic skills or previous scouting reports on them. And so this is how you

1:51.3

utilize the preseason by, you know, giving these guys these longer looks. With McFadden, he was injured

1:57.8

the second day he was there. So he'll, he's unable to work, so he has, he was waived injured, and now he's reverted back to the

2:06.3

lions.

2:06.7

Lions will either sign him with, or give him an injury settlement or, which is likely.

2:12.6

We've seen that a lot last season.
