Our son Peter hiked the Colorado Trail last summer.

On episode 93, he talked about his plans

for the hike and the concept of ultra light hiking.

It was kind of funny because yesterday I met with Bronwyn and Sarah at the

Blend Coffee Shop, our local hangout, and I had my knitting pipeline retreat bag, and it was

pretty heavy just with my knitting things, and I said, I think that Pete had less to carry on his 500 mile hike than I brought to a coffee shop today.

On episode 95 he answered questions from the pipelines and now in episode 116 he tells us about his hike.

This interview was recorded in August about a month after he finished his hike when he came back here to pick up some things he had left here and fetch his dog and take care of other various and sundries.

Pete is now living in Portland, Oregon, and oh that seems so far away to us.

You will also hear Pete on the mandolin at the end of the show.

I wanted to get some new audio from him but when he traveled here for Christmas he was

traveling the light and could not bring his instrument.
