Sex outside of marriage.

When we think about David, there are two main events that come up about his life.

It's his conquering of the Goliath and him being conquered by lust in the incident with Boshiba.

During the conquest of Goliath, it shows his humility, his man of faith, how he killed a giant, and a great victory.

But when he got conquered by lust and led to sex outside of marriage, it shows his humanity,

shows that he was a man of flesh, he was killed by a giant, and it also spiraled his life

into a defeat. His life had two public main points. One was the killing of the Goliath,

and then the other one is the encounter with Bishiba.

In the encounter with Bishiba, he went outside of marriage and he slept with somebody who was not his wife.

Now, he was a king. At the time, sleeping with somebody, especially for somebody like a king, kings were entitled. They could do

whatever they want to. And David maybe allowed the kingdom and pride and popularity and prosperity,

all of that stuff to go into his head. We don't know. But one thing we do know is that David

disobeyed God before he fell into sin with Boshiba, before he fell into a sexual sin

outside of his marriage. For example, we see that the Bible says that many sexual

partners cannot satisfy. For example, we see in Deuteronomy chapter 17 verses 14 through 17 that God tells the kings to not accumulate horses,

wives and gold. And David did really well with the horses. He disabled the horses

when he conquered a certain country in the battle, 2 Samuel chapter 8, verse 4.
