And before I get started on the bulk of the podcast, the first thing that I wanted to do before

I got started was to say kind of a little bit of an apology.

I normally get these episodes done within about two weeks, giving all the research and everything that I have

to do around a full-time job can be a little difficult. And I did plan on having this

episode done in about two weeks, but I had a little bit of a stomach bug, and with the July

4th holiday, things kind of got a little busy. So I hope that I didn't

disappoint anybody by not getting this episode out a little sooner, and I hope that you

accept my apology, such as it is. Another thing that I wanted to do is say another thank

you to MA, who supports the podcast on Patreon and made the suggestion for this particular episode.

I had never heard of this disaster before, as I said in a previous episode, and I found it

really interesting.

I had a lot of fun researching it, so if you can have fun researching podcasts about disasters, which I do.
