| 0:00.0 | I'd personally go for a batter Chunnly. |
| 0:02.9 | Oh, I wouldn't batter it too much. |
| 0:07.4 | You couldn't batter Chunley. |
| 0:09.4 | My cup and saw that out, wouldn't it? Hello and welcome to show number 11 of Midlife Game Podcast, Sunday the 5th of October 2008. |
| 0:34.7 | I'm Darren Baldock with me tonight, my co-host, Mr. Matthew Moore. How are you, Matthew? And not so bad, how are you? I'm bloody awesome, mate. Thank you very much. I'm going to give you a quick rundown of what we're going to be talking about today. Sounds good. We'll talk about what we've been playing, what we've been doing. We're going to cover off some news. |
| 0:37.5 | We're going to talking about the new Nintendo DSI. |
| 0:37.8 | Yep. |
| 1:32.2 | Covering off some other things. A couple of local, you know, UK-related news pieces. Yep, yep. And then finishing up with the retail roundup. How does that sound? It sounds excellent. I'm really looking forward to it. Fine. Let's kick straight off then. What have you been up to this week? I don't think I've played all that much. I did play Spore again. I've still not got into it really. I think I may have just had to lose it. So let's just recap. Last week you were at the point where you were at the end game piece. I just got to the space stage, yeah wanted to give it another try but for some reason the game hasn't saved what i'd done well it hadn't saved what i'd done with that race uh it knows i got to the space stage because i could |
| 1:36.6 | restart there and afresh right but i wanted to play with my testy character but the testy still back |
| 1:42.7 | at um tribal stage i think so i just had a dick around on the creator and I'd look at some of Treebob's designs and then just turned it off. I don't think I'll be going back to it again. Oh, what a shame. I know, but I'm glad I played it. It's one of those games that I'm kind of glad that I gave it a chance. So, you've been there, done it, you've worn the t-shirt and now you're ready for the onslaught of major titles for the rest of the year. Yeah, totally. But I'll tell you what, I'm impressed with the user-generated content and how fun that is. So if somebody gets it accessible as little big planet, maybe, that's going to be interesting. Sorry to talk about things really interesting like that. |
| 2:18.2 | Okay. |
| 2:18.9 | How about yourself? |
| 2:22.9 | Me, I've not done a fat lot of gaming this week, unfortunately. |
| 2:31.2 | My second replacement rock bander and pedal arrived this week, which I'm pleased to say, appears to work, has no hairline fractures at all. |
| 2:53.4 | What I've also done on the back of that is I've gone on to eBay and bought something called a pedal metal. So when I get that, basically it just screws onto the foot pedal and onto the hinge bit at the bottom. Okay, so it's not that. And it basically serves to reinforce the pedal. So you're not buying a whole new pedal. It's just... No, no, not. So it's just a metal plate that you screw onto the... onto the pedal itself. |
| 2:54.5 | And it just makes it a lot more robust, and you can probably wail on it a hell of a lot more. You know what? If that works and you can get it... You get it nailed on popper. I might get one of them. It makes sense. And they're not expensive. |
| 2:47.6 | I think I paid about 15 quid altogether. |
| 2:49.4 | And it looked pretty sick, didn't it? |
| 2:50.4 | It did look pretty good. |
| 2:51.0 | He did look really nice. |
| 2:53.4 | So, yeah, not a lot of gaming. |
| 2:55.4 | What's the time? I think I paid about 15 quid altogether. It looked pretty sick, didn't it? It did look pretty good. It did look really nice. |
