This week, we're broadcasting live from the Tans Academy discussing the 1977 horror

classic, Susperia.

This film was written and directed by Dario Argento from a screenplay by Argento and

Darya Nicolodi.

Drawing inspiration from Suspira de Profundus, a collection of essays from 1845 by Thomas

De Quince, Suspira combines elements of the supernatural and the occult with graphic violence

and a dazzling visual style. With amazing use of color, a remarkably spooky score, and Argento's

skilled direction, this film has proven incredibly influential across a

variety of genres and is widely considered a horror classic.

I really enjoyed how everything was turned up.

The sound effects were like there, the music, the light, like, everything was like at a higher

level than it needed to be.
