Hey, everybody, I'm your host Charlie Barons. This is the Cripescast and interview podcast where we talk to people for and or from the Midwest. Here's this week's episode.

0:11.9

How's everyone doing this week? We're doing good Charlie. Awesome. Do you have a good fourth? Yeah, it was great. Did anyone set off a Roman candle and it tipped the bottle over and then it shot at your family? No, just me.

0:24.5

No, I'm kidding. We were very safe with the fireworks this year. Although one time up north, my brother John put up a Roman candle and it shot toward the family. And you know, we've been very careful with them ever since that moment. The great Roman candle.

0:42.5

A annihilation. No, no one got annihilated. I probably shouldn't make fun of that. You know, right?

0:47.5

Kelley's sitting here like, what are you doing? Why are you starting on this topic? No, every year someone, you know, who's a finger, whatever, you know, that's why they call it stump lake liquor and fireworks.

0:57.5

You know, they're not talking about stumps and the lake. They're talking about, you know, three finger handshakes. Anyway, this week, sorry, Kelley, you can edit that out if you don't like it.

1:08.5

This week, we have a very serious subject this week. It is about sex trafficking, labor trafficking and exploitation. And we have on a great guest, Rachel Harrison, she's a advocacy coordinator for the fight to end exploitation or fee is the acronym for that and she's based in Racine, but they do work all around the Midwest.

1:35.5

She's, she's gone undercover to help fix the situation. She's, she's been in the industry for 10 years now, helping combat exploitation and, you know, the manipulation of people in the sex trafficking world.

1:54.5

And it's a tough issue. It's a systemic problem. There's, there's a lot of things that could be done. We dove a little bit into the politics of it, a little bit into sex tourism and also spotting a situation where maybe you could help intervene and sort of what the telltale signs look like, whether you're at a bar or an airport or whatever.

2:18.5

So there's got a good information here, but I will say off the top if you want to get a website with all this information written out, check out fight to end exploitation.org. They are on all the social media platforms as well at fight to end exploitation. And we will get to that interview in a moment.

2:37.5

Before we get there, we got a little housekeeping to take care of. We got shows coming up. Big top should talk with this weekend. It's always a fun show. I've got Adam Grohl coming with me from horse, using hand grenades.

2:50.5

We had so much fun there last year. It's going to be another great one this year that venue is awesome outdoor venue. Well, it's a big tent. They got a big tent out there. So it's kind of indoor outdoor. So if it's rain and don't worry, but that's up in Bayfield, Wisconsin and northern part of the state.

3:06.5

The state fair is coming up. And I love the state fair every year. I go. I enjoy it. We've done videos there a bunch. And now I'm headlining doing the big, I mean, that's as big as that's, you know, I can just stop after that.

3:25.5

You know, I mean, the state fair, honest to Pete G school, he's, I'm going to have so many deep fried Snickers bars. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it to the stage, but we'll see. We'll see how it works. I'll go ahead calling you. Yes, you have some to add to this.

3:40.5

What's your favorite state fair food?

3:43.5

Cream puffs for sure. You've never had a cream puff. Tell the people where you're from.

3:48.5

I'm from Minnesota. So sweet Martha's cookies are kind of our jam. And then you have the dollar milk right next door. So I've never been to the Wisconsin state fair.

3:58.5

I do feel like we should do a sweet Martha's cookies versus cream puffs do taste off. There will be a very debt not a very big audience for this, but a very dedicated audience, I think.

4:10.5

Or if we did like the state fair best of from each state. And then like, I don't know, we could do Iowa too. I think they have a good state fair or Illinois or something.

4:21.5

Iowa does have a great state fair. Illinois, I'm not so sure. That sounds like sounds like a lot, a lot of travel, a lot of tax write offs.

4:29.5

Yeah. My tax guy is going to be like, hmm, this many cream puffs. You think the IRS isn't going to have a problem with that. Okay. And before we get to the deal.

4:41.5

Oh, yeah. What was I doing last week? I was up north. I was in Hayward outside Hayward. I was in Kudare. And I was on the chipwap foliage. And we were just me and my dad, my brothers, we were fishing.
