Okay, just one chapter tonight. You'll see why I'm hoping here shortly. We're going through

Jeremiah and we finished chapter 15 last week. Actually, we did two chapters last week, so

don't get too used to that. But tonight chapter 16 and our track through this amazing book.

So kind of an emotional book too. But why don't we pray

and we'll ask God to bless our time together in his word if you would join with me.

Loving Heavenly Father, we're really really looking forward to what it is that you have for us tonight here in this

chapter in this amazing book of Jeremiah.

Lord, we know that there's some powerful truths and lessons that you want us to see and hear and take heed to.

And really truth be made known, that's why we're here.

Lord, I pray that you'll bless the teaching tonight, especially for those who are struggling and hurting, of which there are many going

through many different kinds of trials and difficulties and hardships.

And Lord, we're so thankful to you for books like this, chapters like this

in your word, because it speaks to right where we're at. We're not surprised by that. Your

word is alive and active. But Lord, it just speaks to us where we're at and everything we're going through.

So Lord, bless our time together in your words.

Settle our hearts too.

And just as only you can by the Holy Spirit, just help us focus our attention.

So there's no distraction, there's no wandering of our minds.

And well, we don't want to miss anything that it is that you have for us tonight.

So get our attention and keep it by the Holy Spirit. And Lord

fill us and feed us and nourish us and minister to us. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. And amen.
