HPPoncraft.com. This is our fourth and final episode on The Shadow Out of

Time by HP Lovecraft. We're joined again by reader Andrew Lehman as well as Reber Clark on the music

box. Here's the story so far. We've learned about the great race of Yith.

They're an extraterrestrial species that can travel through space and time by

switching bodies with hosts.

We don't know what they originally looked like, but on Earth they have cone-shaped bodies

and they lived in the distant past.

They switch bodies with hosts in order to study history in the future and they have this

library city where they recorded everything.

At some point another monstrous race that is dormant beneath this city will rise up to kill them

the flying polyps, right? The Ithians will have already jaunted forward to the future before that can happen thus escaping

their fate.

Into some cockroach bodies.

And the cockroach bodies.

Take over after the humans are long extinct.

Right.

Now the narrative of the Shadow Out of Time has been told by Nathaniel Wingate Peasley who for seven years was a host of one of these Yethians.

And while he was possessed, his body explored the world, while his mind was in the past.
