Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast, One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication.

And this week, what you're going to be getting is a deep dive into the ending of the stand.

When this episode was first released, it was in 2020. I am re-recording the

introduction here in 2026 to provide a little bit of context for this episode. So I have

reordered the episodes throughout the Stephen King cast to keep the flow based solely on the

publication of the original novel, and anything related to that novel follows in between

the review of the novel itself and the next novel. So at this time of the original recording

of this podcast episode, I was focusing only on the endings.

I had already done my reviews of all of the works of Stephen King.

So now I was just on a stretch where I was reviewing each of the endings.

And now I have just reordered all of those episodes to come after the reviews of their respective books.

So today it brings us to Stephen King's masterpiece, his magnum opus, his famous The Stand.

That's really important here about this particular episode. So as you know, the stand involves,

as a catalyst, a superflu that wipes out the population. At the time of this recording of the stand, it was in March of 2020.

So there was a lot of fear out there.

There was a lot of uncertainty out there.
