Oh thank you. So when you when did you decide to become a UFC fighter? Like what was that?

What drove you to that to the MMA and UFC and all that stuff?

Van Dam movies. Van Dam and Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee and all that stuff that a lot of us grew up with

as kids. I grew up a wrestler with two older brothers. We were always rough houts and just

beating the crap out of each other and I always I always wanted to to dive deeper into

like the martial arts and stuff like that and self-defense side of it and

when I when I finished up wrestling I only wrestled the year at Virginia Tech. It was a great

learning experience but it was also you know hell and and took probably took years off my life.

But I missed I missed the competition. So in early 2005 my brother Dan and I started training

Brazilian Jitsu with the idea that we wanted to fight and our first instructor he's like

you know give me like two or three years you know and we went in the on the first night

and you know train hard and picked it up quickly because we you know knew how to grapple

because grappling is grappling is grappling right you know controlling somebody's control and somebody.

So we did well and then we came back you know like a few days later after we were able to move

because we were pretty sore and out of shape and we were in the gym six days a week you know six
