At the Charlotte Mason Institute's 2018 annual Eastern and Western conferences, we will explore the theme, Parents and Teachers,

Preparing Children to Live at Home in the Community and beyond. Preparing our children for the world

beyond home and school is an arduous task and seems overwhelming in our

current cultural and political environment, but there is so much to hope for and much for us and our children to learn about the world and the relationships in this world when we pursue an education through Charlotte Mason's paradigm.

We welcome people of all educational venues, religious or non-religious backgrounds,

and cultural backgrounds, while at the same time we put forth Mason's Judeo-Christian

perspective following in the vein of her 20th principle.

We allow no separation to grow up between the intellectual and spiritual life of children, but

teach them that the divine spirit has constant access to their spirits and is their continual helper in all the

interests, duties, and joys of life. Expect registration to open on or about January 3rd

2018.

We will also be offering through Facebook Live at least once a month a drawing for a free

registration to a U.S.C.M.I. conference.

Here are some of the speakers and their topics for this coming year.

Dr. Jack Beckman from Covenant College on the characteristics and needs of preschool to elementary children.

Mr. Storm Hutchinson, Free Methodist Pastor, has served a student and instructional coach at Gillingham Charter School will be speaking on the

relational needs of the teenager. Dr. Jennifer Spencer will engage with us on cognitive

overload. A delectable education's own, Liz Kottrell, will be speaking on relationships and dynamics within the family.

Others will lead talks on knowing the teenager in your home and father and daughter relationships.
