My wife is an alumnus of T. W. U. is a trained teacher when she was attending there. 2001 she graduated. T. W. U. was in the midst of another lawsuit. This time it was their teacher certification program, which was being contended.

The British Columbia Teachers Federation took T. W. U. to court arguing that their community standards pledge would prevent them from being able to train teachers without a discriminatory attitude toward the LGBT students.
