So I think eventually like either you work very very hard on it or it just eventually you finally just something clicks into place and you're less hard on yourself.

Like I used to be so hard on myself like I should paint, I should do this, I should do that

and I'll paint. I shouldn't be painting, I should be writing, I shouldn't be writing, I should be writing, I should be now I'm neglecting my kids

not like it used to be so neurotic and I can never now I can kind of like make the decision and get with it.

Welcome to the show. I'm going to start with something obvious but bear with me. I was 16 into movies

sexless and watching say anything with my parents.

So mostly, I was a cliche.

And like anyone who watched that movie in their teens,

whether it was in theaters or on cassette or on DVD, you probably fell in love with one of the two

leads. Maybe you fell in love with both of them. I think that's what happened to me.

And when I think about a teenage version of myself

interviewing Ioni Skye I don't really know how to even process that honestly, when I went over to her house a couple of weeks ago to do this,

it was as nervous of a drive over there as I have had.

I can't really explain it.

It's something about a younger version of yourself.

Or rather, it's something about youthful ideas colliding with reality that I think

makes something like interviewing someone you deeply admired and was interested in at an early age

kind of daunting and terrifying. But through the years I've liked her in so many different things, aside from say anything, like River's Edge,
