I walked past a driver's lounge at a truck stop in Henderson, Kentucky.

I heard four truckers giving another trucker a hard time.

He was hauling Kepler cookies, and the other drivers thought it was pretty

hilarious so they kept asking him a bunch of silly things like, did the elves let you watch

them make the cookies and then they would laugh. Do you have to be an elf to drive their trucks?

They'd laugh some more and how many miles do you have to log before they share the recipe?

It went on for quite a while, and they all laughed.

But the trucker was a good sport, and he just kept smiling quietly when they would tease him.

And finally, I guess he'd had enough.

They stood up in a deep, slow voice, said, listen now.

I only drive this truck for the paycheck.

I just backed the truck up to the tree and the elves fill it.
