one small anecdote about self-driving cars that i was told by a journalist who might have been there

uh... at that car to email and bullshit or whatever you want to

because he was covering self-driving cars for a big story uh... in in a major magazine

he told me that um... this was about three or four years ago three years ago

he said that uh... this was right around the time that one of these companies it was either google or uber

i can't remember which one of their cars hit somebody and like pretty badly injured them on a on a city street

and that employees at the other company which is again it's either google or uber i can't remember

were like privately furious because they had wanted to draw first blood

that makes total sense like uber i mean my guys' book super pumped is a really really good resource for

this and i reviewed it for the baffler last year and have pulled out some of the anecdotes but like

i mean it's very similar and i'd argue that paleteers the same way where it's like i mean uh... that other

company clear view a i that has like the really psycho founder right right right like who were he'll

just go to a party take a picture of your face and then you look like using his companies like at

you're like look at all this other shit i found out about you uh... as a go party trick at uber they

use this thing called the god mode where they could literally like as a party trick they would put on

a screen at a party showing where people were going back and forth in their ubers like employees at

the company like as a go party favor just check it like you know and and i think that that's you know

it's a boundary pushing that is like in you know it's it's it's it's it's in the dna of these

companies is like it almost feels fucking trite just because of how many like times like they

like put on display how abusive they're willing to be that's dna call me human crisper
