0:47.6	We were talking about the sun yeah it changes in the sun yes we were and we could pick up on that theme. I've been kind of
0:55.0	focusing you know I we focus so much time on the late glacial maximum the
1:01.2	younger driest period of transition out, and I've always felt like I've been neglecting the
1:06.1	holocene.
1:07.8	But now since I've been working with you guys, and you guys are the holocene working for.
1:12.2	We are, yeah. The holocene. Yeah. I feel like that it's time to remedy
1:17.0	that neglect and look further into it. So I think weren't we talking about the sun kind of in the context of some of the
1:25.2	changes that we've actually seen during the Holocene? Yes. Yeah, that's right.
1:30.4	Yeah. Yeah. And that's worth looking into in more detail because God there's so much interesting stuff coming out that nobody was even imagining 10 years ago.
1:40.0	That's really confirming the what I would call the dynamic model of Earth's history
1:46.7	rather than the stable model of Earth's history.
1:51.4	Now of course what I think the record that we're now putting together shows that there are
1:56.9	periods of stability of course but they are quite frequently as it turns out interrupted
2:06.0	by various kinds of convulsions and upheavals
2:08.6	and disasters and catastrophes and cataclisms
2:11.7	and what have you.
2:14.0	So I have a question about this because in general the, you know, the millions of layers that you'll see, especially in sedimentary rocks.
2:27.0	A lot of times each one of those layers, maybe a small layer will be considered it.
2:31.0	It encompasses a large amount of time.
2:33.0	But does incorporating more and more catastrophic events in Earth's history, would that shrink that time or make those layers actually some, you know, many of them put down quickly and so they
