Today we're going to talk about liberty and libertarianism with Clint Russell from Liberty

Lockdown Podcast and a number of other things.

I'm good man, thank you for having me.

Fun talking about my favorite pastime.

So I'm not sure most people really know much about the background of libertarianism and

how, you know, a lot of it is, a lot of it evolved, I guess, from Australian economic

or I'm sorry, Austrian economics and things like that and Murray Rothbard and his writings.

But I think it's, you know, if you lose all the definitions and all the names of the

players involved, to me it has always seemed like the most quintessential version of American

ideal and politics, right?

I agree.

I think it is the American ideal, it's, you know, peace and prosperity and non-intervention.

Like, these are, many of these ideas are foundational to the formulation of our nation.

So the fact that these ideas are now a nathema to the point that, you know, the CIA, former CIA,

John Brennan, lists us as potential domestic extremists, it just demonstrates how far away

we are from, you know, the original concept of America.

Very bizarre, yeah.

I've never been much of a fan of politicians, you know, because they're the worst people
