The Great War was over, now it was time for politics, yet they would be anything but

usual.

The soldiers of the Kaiser may have held their own on land against the Tommies in the

Palut, but it was the British Royal Navy that had starved and weakened the aggressors

with a blockade of the North Sea.

And now it was time for the senior service to remind the people and the world of its might.

On November 21, 1918, just ten days after the armistice was signed, the light cruiser

HMS Cardiff cleared Scottish waters and met up with a German high seas fleet, made

above 179 vessels, battleships, cruisers, destroyers, submarines, and other such craft.

Then turning around, the Cardiff led the massive fleet to May Island in the mouth of the

Firth of Fourth.

Waiting there was Admiral Sir David Bede and Britain's fleet, some 370 warships that

had formed into two separate lines, waiting for their guests.

The German ships maneuvered into position as expected and lowered their anchors, which

was followed by the German flag.

Meanwhile, in France, where the majority of the fighting took place, the land was utterly

destroyed.

To the east, the Austro-Hungarian dual monarchy was imploding, even further east, Zaraast

Russia ceased to be.

Germany, as the Kaiser had known it, also ceased to be.
