The reason I wanted to have you on is over the course of us being friends,

probably once every couple months,

you'll say something about your childhood that sounds insane. And every time

it happens, I kind of file it away. And I'm like, I don't want to ask a bunch of questions about

that now because it would feel like a waste of good content.

I just want to, I want to sit them down, wind them up, and let them go and kind of get all these in one place. So that, that's what I want to do today. Okay. And I, you know, I don't think

that your experience was typical, but I think that people living in this area, it's, uh,

we're, we're like fucking, uh, the, the hot zone for these kinds of experiences. Like,

not everyone had like, uh, you know, religion's a big player in it, right?

Correct. Yes.

And I'd like to examine and get your thoughts about what exactly that means, but, you know, that's, that's something we can do at the end, not the beginning.

And so, like, you know, that's not how I grew up. It's not how most of my friends grew up.

But I feel like everyone who lives in the

FW knows at least one person. Like you can't live here and not know at least one person who's

like, yeah, my dad was a pastor. It was pretty intense. Yeah. Well, it was kind of, you know,

I think also like the 70s and 80s were a big deal for just people starting churches
