Summary

The Santa Claus legend may be one of the most sturdy pieces of mythology in modern times. While other magical creatures have faded from our common lore, the legend of Santa Claus has only grown. However, the evolution of this beloved holiday character has been downright strange. How did a lank and serious Bishop from Anatolia become the jolly bringer gifts we know today? Tune in and find out how pickled kids, Dwight Shrute, and horned gods all play a role in the story. Hey everyone, Sebastian here. Before we get started today, I just wanted to give everyone a little

0:07.2

warning. The title of today's show makes it sound like it is super kid friendly,

but there is going to be some very real talk about Santa Claus going on here. Now,

1:36.5

that they saw in the distance a little butcher shop. Surely they thought that kindly butcher would

1:43.5

take pity on them and give them a little something to eat before they started their journey back

1:48.6

home. Little did the boys know that they had just stumbled upon the most evil butcher shop in all the

land. The butcher was rumored to be a notorious child murderer. While local people suspected that he

had been behind the disappearance of many kids, no evidence of his crimes could ever be discovered.

But of course, the three little boys had no idea of this when they knocked upon his door.
