I, of course, will be handing over the hosting duties to Chase Geiser coming up. But I wanted to come on here and give you an update on what's going on in the

house right now. As far as the bill is concerned, will there be a government shutdown? What can we

expect later this afternoon as well?

Did some extended coverage earlier on the Alex Jones show in regards to this,

but here is the latest.

Republicans have been in conference all day trying to decide what they're going to bring to the floor and when.

Mike Johnson was teasing that he was going to bring a bill to the floor this morning,

but he didn't have the votes, and so he didn't end up bringing it.

And it was basically going to be the same bill that failed last night, minus the debt ceiling.

So they've been debating all day what to do.

And they don't have the votes for that bill unless he gets Democrat votes.

So what they've been debating in conference is to either bring that bill back tonight for a vote without the debt ceiling increase.

He doesn't have the votes in the Republican Party, but he would have to go across the aisle

to the Democrats and get votes from them.

I don't think that that's a likely success story, but that's going to be what he has to do.

Their other option was three separate bills, a continued resolution bill, a farm bill,

and a disaster relief bill.
